Language Reviews

Language reviews? Yes, we're actually talking about reviewing a language here! Why not? It's the best way to get someones real opinion about a language. It's a combination of your personal views and feelings about a language, your experiences with it, and your personal assessment of how easy or hard a language is to learn, how useful it is etc.

I first read language reviews in Barry Farbers book How To Learn Any Language. He gives his impressions of each language that he has had some exposure to - how hard or easy it is to learn, what to look out for as you're learning it, how useful the language is, his personal feelings about it etc.

So, why can't we do that? I think it's a great way to get some ideas about a language you are interested in learning. Read what other people are saying about a language you might be interested in, or try sharing your thoughts on a particular language or two.

Read language reviews from other visitors here. Looking for French? I've just built a new page to read or write a review of French! A few French reviews that were here have been moved to that page.

Write your language review!

I'm sure you have opinions on some other languages. Is there a language that you love to hear? Is there one you think is easy or super-hard to learn? Write your language review here.
