Pimsleur is my favorite

Pimsleur is my favorite of all of the language CD programs. I have used the French CDs for levels 1, 2, and 3.

What I love about Pimsleur is that it gets you into conversational language immediately by building your skills. It will start with a sentence and then break it down into phrases so you are learning not only vocabulary words but also conversation and how phrases fit together. It is really a terrific program.

I often listen to them in the car or while on a walk because they don’t depend on books or workbooks. It helps you develop an ear and an accent for the language because you have lots of opportunities to listen and respond to the audio.

I have only used this program for studying French and have used it along with some other supplementary materials. The other study materials I use help with reading and writing.

I went to France two summers ago and was amazed at how much I was able to recall from what I had learned with Pimsleur. I studied some French in high school, but not very successfully. I am so pleased to have found a program that works and that is convenient to use in my adult life. I would recommend this program in a heartbeat!
